In 2010 the KOHL Group introduced the K-LEAN production system. With the aim of making work processes lean, cost-conscious and waste-free. K-LEAN keeps the error rate in check and ensures that processes are meaningfully standardized and consistently ensured - while maintaining consistently high quality. K-LEAN is lived. Day after day and by all employees. Many clever minds from KOHL contribute to K-LEAN developing into the DNA of the entire company - as the basis for our success in the future.

For us, sustainability also means acting responsibly with regard to workflows and processes.

The jury of the Factory of the Year competition found that we are on the right track and awarded us for K-LEAN in the category "Best Small Series Manufacturer".

KOHL is and remains a family business. This is what Andreas Mack, the fourth generation's successor, stands for with his name. In 2017 he followed in the footsteps of his stepfather Wolfgang Ohrem. Together with Executive Board colleague Hubertus Müller, he has set himself the task of continuing to steer the KOHL Group stably, successfully and solidly through the 2nd century of the company's history.

The companies of the KOHL Group work according to the quality standards relevant to the industry. Our quality management is based on DIN EN ISO 9001/2015, IATF 16949. These are regularly certified and controlled.

In addition, we are approved as a system supplier by well-known major companies.


Once a year, the trade magazine "Produktion" together with the management consultancy A.T. Kearney awards prizes to the best industrial companies in German-speaking countries. The award honours companies that stand out from the competition through their creativity, innovative strength and quality and at the same time stand up to fluctuating markets. In 2015, we at KOHL were awarded Factory of the Year in the category "Excellent small series production".
